In an interview from Sound on Film, ADR and Foley editor, Paul Zydel, speaks of the work that he is most proud of, Once Upon A Time In America. The original four-hour version is 100% ADR and took ten weeks to record and edit. This was in 1984, so we have to assume that the process was accomplished by razor blade and tape. Take a listen to Paul's work in this excerpt.
